Legislator Faggione, working with local and regional partners, helped secure funding for the replacement of the Tri-States Bridge in Port Jervis.

“I am proud to have worked with the County Executive and the Orange County Transportation Council to help make this project a reality. The replacement of the Tri-State Bridge is critical to economic development in Port Jervis and all of Western Orange County,” said County Legislator Tom Faggione (R,C,I-Deerpark).

Since taking office, Legislator Faggione has supported Orange County’s Department of Public Works in completing more than 52 bridge and culvert projects across Orange County.

Drive across Orange County and you will see the best roads in Orange County are just that, County Roads. Congrats to our great DPW crews for their efforts.

Parks

Orange County has some of the best green spaces in all of the lower Hudson Valley. As your legislator, I’ve always supported the efforts of our Parks Department in their efforts.

Legislator Faggione helped find funding for playground equipment replacement at Harriet Space Park in Huguenot, NY.

Legislator Faggione has helped Port Jervis with grants of nearly $20,000 for city park emprovements.

Legislator Faggione has spearheaded efforts to enhance Harriet Space Park. Starting in 2024, work had begun on one of the largest municipal pavilions in the County at the park. Additional baseball/softball fields, a second football field, kayak access to the river and other improvements are on the way.

Outside of County work, Legislator Faggione is a board member of the Outdoor Club of Port Jervis and huge supporter/volunteer at Port Jervis Little League, and the Port Jervis Youth Football League.

Education

Proud to support the educational opportunities available in our County. SUNY Orange offers a wide variety of courses close to home at an affordable price.

Taxes

As your legislator, Faggione has worked with the County Executive and the majority of the legislature to keep the County tax rate the lowest it’s been since the 1960’s.

Seniors

Legislator Faggione has worked with the Orange County Office for the Aging to bring the Farmers Market Coupon Books for Seniors to countless residents of western Orange County. Thousands of dollars in coupons are spent each summer at the Farmers Market, providing area seniors with an opportunity to have fresh fruits and vegetables at home to eat.

Economic Development

A strong economy is one of the most important factors for the success of any community. From small business on main street to the “big guys” - business means jobs, jobs mean money, and money means prosperity. As a small business owner myself, I am not just a believer in Capitalism, I am a direct result of Capitalism. Proud to support the mom & pop shops in our towns and city and proud to support Legoland, Woodbury Common, and growth in and around Stewart Airport.

Public Safety

Legislator Faggione has an unwaivering support for law enforcement. Faggione has consistently voted to ensure that our Orange County Sheriff’s Office has the equipment, tools, and training they need to keep our communities safe. Faggione has also supported the Orange County District Attorney’s Office to provide the staffing and funds available to prosecute those who break the laws.

Legislator Faggione has spoken out against the crazy antics from the Albany liberals who consistently try to put criminals ahead of citizens and victims.
