Legislature seeks to approve Five Year Contract for CSEA Workers

February 22, 2019 - Goshen, NY - The Orange County Legislature's Personnel and Compensation Committee has voted to approve the Civil Service Employees' Association (CSEA) new five-year contract. The contract will go to a final vote of the entire legislature at the March 7th session.

"This five-year contract is fair for the taxpayers as well as the county labor force." Legislator Tom Faggione said. "County Executive Steve Neuhaus and his team, led by Human Resources Commissioner Steve Gross, worked with union leadership in good faith to craft this deal. I support the contract and look forward to unanimous support of the entire legislature."

County workers will see honest wage increases over each of the five years of this contract. New CSEA hires will contribute 12% to 14% towards their health care as part of this agreement.

The contract will carry through 2023.
